Is this the same system that is installed in barns and stables?  This is a similar system to that which has been used for over 30 years in barns and stables to safely keep flies and mosquitoes away from horses and livestock.

Do I need any special equipment before you install the system?  No.  You need only the standard 110V outlet found in all US homes.

How visible is the system?  The nozzles and hoses are concealed along fence lines, in foliage and along the house trim and are no more visibly distracting that your sprinkler system.  The tanks are typically stored in the garage or outdoor storage shed.

Can the system be expanded?  Easily.  Many customers choose to start with a smaller misting area and expand later.

System Use

How often should I mist? How long will the spray keep mosquitoes away?  We recommend misting 2 to 3 times a day from 30 to 40 seconds each time.   Misting is most effective in the early morning and evening and will keep mosquitoes away all day.

Is the system complicated?  Absolutely not.  The system will spray at preset times that can be set with the turn of a dial.

Can I turn it off and on whenever I want or is it automated?  Both.  You can turn the system on and off as needed, but it will also automatically spray at the times you set.

Is the system under warranty?  Yes.  All parts and labor are covered for two years after system installation.   Lifetime parts and labor warranties are available.  Contact us for details.

How much does a typical system cost?  Systems typically run $2,000 and up.  Value engineering is available for special budgets. 

How do you figure pricing?  We custom design each system.  We consider the landscape, the intensity of your mosquito problem, the placement of mosquito havens, your budget and the areas of your yard that are most frequently used.  For the final price, we then calculate the number of nozzles, length of hose, number of tanks and amount of labor it will cost to install your custom system.

How much can I expect to spend on refills?  Refills cost between $150 and $250 per tank depending on the refill option you choose.  Refills are needed every 2 to 4 months.

Pyrethrum 

What is Pyrethrum?  Pyrethrum is a natural insecticide extracted from the chrysanthemum, Tanacetum cinerariaefolium. 

Why have you chosen to use Pyrethrum over other insecticides?

Will Pyrethrum only kill mosquitoes?  No, Pyrethrum will also kill other small insects such as ticks, fleas, flies, ants, horseflies, gnats and spiders.
